It's sad when at age 32, you're too old and tired to enjoy a shopping trip that ends at 8:30 p.m. Who knew that was late? I was glad to get away for a few hours last night, but I was exhausted, and shopping wasn't quite the pick-me-up that it used to be! I did manage to buy several things for Rory and some new lipstick for me, so it was a success. Oh, and it ended with a Starbucks run so that's always good.

And speaking of purchases, I went through a rubbermaid of Rory's clothes last night working on what was going to the consignment store next week and realized that I just bought a duplicate shirt on eBay. Nice. I've avoided selling on eBay this year so far, but I think I might post a few things today. Since they're Gymboree and new with tags, I think I'd do better there than at a consignment store. They're things that Rory was too small for when she came home, but is now too big for.

On the agenda today is grocery shopping and a football game this evening, and that's about it!

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
