Thursday

I did end up taking Rory to the doctor yesterday, and it is apparently possible to have an ear infection and some nasty chest congestion without a fever. I had no idea! So she's on her first round of antibiotics and hopefully it will knock the infections out quickly.

The trip to the doctor and Rory's 3 hour nap after we got home pretty much took up our entire day. She also slept last night from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., which was wonderful!

The last two days when Brian has arrived home, I've handed the kids over and walked with Mayme at her house. My legs and knees are really feeling the effects of two days worth of trekking up her mountain (only slight exaggeration here). It does feel good to be getting worthwhile exercise.

Rory said "I love you" this morning. She was just repeating us, but it was so cute. It's like something has clicked in her head. The last two days she has been trying to say so many words, and her vocabulary is really expanding.

Today's plan includes grocery shopping, baking a cake for Camden's class, laundry, and some general picking up. Brian has a faculty meeting and then a book fair tonight so he won't be home until after the kids are in bed.

So, instead of doing something constructive during Rory's 3 hour nap yesterday, I scrapped. Lots. Here are the pages.
