Cranky Morning

We had a pie auction after church last night so Rory and Camden both got to bed late last night, and they are cranky this morning! Camden is off to school for "fun day." It's the last day of the year, and they have big inflatables and games all day.

Rory and I are going to Nashville to pick up our pictures from Angie, return a few things at Target, pick up my books from the library, and look at frames at Michaels. That's alot of in and out of the carseat!

I've been paying a few bills online this morning and realized that the MRI I had last month was denied for some reason by our insurance, and we owe $1,835!! I'm going to be on the phone fighting this for sure because they approved the MRI before I had it. I probably wouldn't have had it since it's preventative if it weren't covered. And to top it off, we finally got our stimulus check, and it was about half of what we were expecting. Oh, money troubles!

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Not a week goes by that they don't pull out blog books from previous years and pore over the pictures and words. Rory giggles and retells the stories; Camden quietly takes in the tougher subjects. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
