Family Day

Earlier this week we had a Family Day. It started off with meeting Joy, Jason, Ellis, and Sumner at the park for picture and then lots of play time. We then headed to Pei Wei for lunch, then to Michaels to buy some fun craft stuff and also kid supplies for an up-coming trip. We hit up the library for lots of books, then we saw Kung Fu Panda 2. It was fabulous, by the way, and we all had many laughs. And I might have shed several tears over the adoption theme.

It was a very fun day, and I was so glad to see Joy and her family again!

We had so much fun and the pictures are awesome! Even the bloopers! : ). And, yes, Ellis is totally into the "sticking out the tongue" phase. It was great to see you again and we have to plan another playdate for July so I can bring my camera!

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
