Dental Work

Brian spent most of his first day of spring break doing taxes and going to the dentist (it was his and Camden's turn). Sounds fun, doesn't it? It's never encouraging when your dentist calls you over to look at your son's x-rays and says "those things are huge" - talking about his top two adult teeth that have yet to make an appearance. He says there are definite spacing issues. There are also issues with his eye teeth being completely flat because he grinds them so hard in his sleep. I guess that's not ideal. :) Dental bills are clearly a part of our future.

Today is another very gray, dreary day but I think we're eventually supposed to see the sun sometime this week and it cannot come soon enough. This has been the grayest winter!

Ugh. I HATE the dentist and his/her bills. :(
If our weather is any indication of what you'll soon be getting, it's good. We have sun and warmer temps today! Hope you do too.

Oh man... I'm hoping that Spencer's baby teeth are not an indication of how is adult teeth are going to come in... let's just leave it at that.

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Not a week goes by that they don't pull out blog books from previous years and pore over the pictures and words. Rory giggles and retells the stories; Camden quietly takes in the tougher subjects. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
