New Uniforms

It's been kind of a tough week around here so a beautiful sunshine-filled day along with some retail therapy, Pei Wei for lunch with Brian and Rory, followed up by Starbucks and a trip to an international grocery store was a lovely treat. I hit up Gap's extra 30% off entire purchase sale and bought some cute things for Rory and a couple of shirts for Camden. You can't really beat $9 dresses and $3 shirts (plus shopping always makes me feel better).

The grocery store was a new experience for us, and it was kinda fun. Brian loved looking around and could have spent hours there. There was a huge produce section filled with things I've never heard of or seen before. The entire back of the store was full of these big tanks of water with live fish and eel (one almost jumped out in front of us). The store was freezing cold and played very loud music. Poor Rory was literally gagging from the smell most of the time but she's a trooper and didn't complain once. We're planning to make bulgogi (Korean BBQ) for supper tomorrow night and spent alot of time collecting all of the spices, vinegars, etc. for the marinade only to find big jars of pre-made marinade as we were checking out. Oh, well. I'm sure the homemade marinade will be better. At least it should be since we spent $34!

Camden got his new baseball uniform last night at practice and yes, this is the last time those pants will be that white. Not sure what they were thinking when they ordered 6 year-olds white pants. They've had a total of 3 practices because of rain and their season starts a week from tomorrow. Here's to hoping they'll magically start acting like they know what they're doing instead of like a group of 6 year-olds out having fun in a field. :)

I'm always so impressed that your kids look AND smile at the camera! :)
Isn't the international grocery super-fun? We end up spending soooo much money there!

Love the pic of them together. I am also amazed how you get them to sit for pictures. I can never get mine together like that.

Camden looks so handsome in his uniform!

We just tried beef bulgogi for the first time last week and we loved it. Maybe we should try making it at home sometime. Send me your recipe if you get a chance!
Maybe this will make you feel better... we tried the marinade one time, and Spencer (who will eat his weight in bulgogi) didn't like it *at*all*!! Literally spit it out. So I continue to do it myself. ;-)
