Peanuts

For Camden's Family Day Tuesday, we let him choose a place to eat, and he chose Logans, of course. He's quite a fan of the all-you-can-eat peanuts and the fact that you can throw the shells on the floor, and I think he ate his weight in them. Rory can't seem to quite get the concept of the peanuts. She shells them then throws the peanut on the floor, sometimes tries to eat the shell, or just throws the whole thing on the floor. We finished up the evening by watching Camden's airport video and some of his baby videos. He was so cute! Rory cannot figure out why she wasn't around. It's hard for 3 year olds to grasp the concept of not being born yet.

Sweet story: Rory was devastated when she realized Camden was going to school on Tuesday. She sobbed and sobbed, "But it's family day. We're supposed to stay 'agether'."

Yesterday was a pretty typical day. I ran some errands in Nashville, read many, many books to Rory and we played outside alot. We've had beautiful weather the last two days, but rain and a few thunderstorms are in the forecast for today. Today is actually the only day this week that we don't have to be somewhere and I plan to spend some time working around the house.

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
