I didn't pull out the camera too often during our trip, but here are the ones I did take.

Because of my never-ending scar tissue issue I had to wear yoga pants and tennis shoes to travel in. These shoes get alot of attention. :) (thanks again, Julie)

The weather was so great while we were there. It was 75 degrees and breezy just about 24 hours a day. The temps don't seem to fluctuate a whole lot from morning to night. While I am positive that this will not be a good thing when it's 100 degrees outside, in the spring it's fabulous. We sat outside around a fire pit a couple of nights at one of the very many shopping areas.

Downtown Dallas: that ball up there is a rotating restaurant. We were there the night before St. Patrick's Day and the lights were green instead of blue for the celebration.

Wolfgang Puck's, Five Sixty is the restaurant atop Reunion Tower. It serves Asian Fusion cuisine! We went for Valentine's Day with some friends. I highly recommend you going! :)

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Not a week goes by that they don't pull out blog books from previous years and pore over the pictures and words. Rory giggles and retells the stories; Camden quietly takes in the tougher subjects. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. (the adult who spent a week at camp might have been tired too) Camden had the camera and took these pictures of me and Becky, Liz, and mom. Lewis/Hale/Derby/Lemons family - you're all caught up!

7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
