First Day

Like I mentioned last week, we finally bit the bullet and decided to shell out for preschool for the rest of the year for Rory. As you can see, she was pretty excited. In fact, I think her exact words were, "I am SO e-cited for the funnest day in my whole entire life. I'm going to have a First Day of School dance with a shimmy in there."

She has been bored to tears with my company for the last several months, and you know I love this girl to pieces, but I have been bored to tears trying to keep her entertained day in and day out for the last couple of months so I think this is the perfect time.

Oh, she also wanted to know what she was going to learn on her first day of kindergarten (ummmm, it's just preschool) and if she was going to be able to pull tallies (that would be what happens when you misbehave). Oh, dear!

I just read your "right now" post, and I can relate to so much that you said...It's hard to feel strong when you are weak...spiritual battles are hard. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
