Sweet Baby

So my "definitely a Monday" theme has unfortunately continued through the week. The worst thing is that we're currently down to one car because they've discontinued the part we need for our car. Seriously. Discontinued. Still not sure what we're going to do about that. The latest thing is that I got a parking ticket yesterday afternoon. I was having lunch with a friend when it happened so I've decided it was worth it.

Not everything has been bad this week. Not only did I get to meet my friend for lunch yesterday, but I also got to see another friend and her new baby. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned a time or two that Rory loves babies. I mean seriously. loves. babies. Of course, most of her experience with babies is with her dolls, but she loves them. And little Emmalyn was no different. She immediately wanted to hold her, feed her, and kept talking to her in a very high-pitched voice. She would be the best big sister ever. Maybe one day.

And now I'm off to order coffee because to top it all off, we ran out this week. :)

Sorry to hear about your car. Is there anything you can do to fix it?

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
