Week in Review

Yes, a day early, but I've got something a little different for tomorrow. :)

My car is healthy again, and we're back to being a two-car family.

Rory had a dentist's appointment Tuesday and has two more cavities. There was also talk of putting caps on her two front teeth. Imagine the nightmare flashing through my head of two silver front teeth on my girl. Thankfully, they decided to take a wait and see approach.

After 90+ temperatures last week, fall has finally arrived in Tennessee, and we've loved having highs in the 70's and 80's. I even switched out Rory's summer closet to her fall/winter clothes. Because Camden wears uniforms to school, his wardrobe pretty much stays the same.

Rory has started her first week as a 4 year old with a bang. The diva attitude is in full force, almost like a switched has been flipped in her little brain. I realize it's just a coincidence that it happened right as she turned 4, but WOW.
 
I made this for dinner last night, and it was a delicious fall meal. (my family knows that I definitely left out the zucchini, though)

And that's about it - thankfully, a pretty uneventful week!

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
