Forgotten Pictures

I found these pictures from a couple of months ago as I was trying to clear out Lightroom.

Love this one for obvious reasons, but also because it's almost straight out of the camera (one of the first I took with my 50mm 1.4 lens).

I would be framing both of those! I wouldnt say that second one is accidentally out of focus I would say that affect was meant to be.. its precious!

Wow! Your photos are amazing! Would love to hear some of your secrets! :) I find that I am getting better images out of my 50 1.8 than my 50 1.4! I have a Rebel T2i and shoot in manual but I am doing something wrong!
Your work is stunning- you've got natural talent, for sure! :)

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. (the adult who spent a week at camp might have been tired too) Camden had the camera and took these pictures of me and Becky, Liz, and mom. Lewis/Hale/Derby/Lemons family - you're all caught up!

7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
