2011 Project 365, Week 1

Week 1 of Project 365. I'm already remembering why it's tough. Sometimes there aren't fun things to take pictures of. :)

In spite of that, as I looked through last year's pages and pictures, I was very glad that I had finished the project. This year I decided to make things easier on myself, and I'm using this set of templates. The design work is already done for me, and I simply have to add the pictures and journaling. Hopefully that will help keep me on track. Did I mention that as I went through last year's pages, I realized that I completely skipped week 46? Yep, skipped it.

Okay, it cracked me up that in the "Team Texas" photo, Camden chose to stand between those very pretty girls and not with the family. Smart guy. : )

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
