A Break

After a night of little sleep, I've decided to call in one of the biggest stay at home mom perks - taking a day off. Okay, so it's not really a day off since there are still meals involved and a husband and both kiddos, as well as that necessary trip to the grocery store, but besides that I'm taking it easy. Although as I'm typing this, I'm remembering the load of laundry in the dryer as well as the load I didn't fold yesterday plus the several things on today's "to do" list, but they'll all wait until tomorrow.

Enjoy your day off! I am frantically cleaning for Jason's mom to visit for Ellis' birthday this weekend. : )

LOVE the picture of Rory! I haven't had time to touch my camera - better practice before the party Sunday. Yikes!

I love a day off! And while I was reading that with Malia next to me she says thats Malia! She always thinks Rory is really her and she is not convinced otherwise!

seriously amazing pic of sweet Rory!! you definitely deserve a day off and one day next week I am going to attempt to pull one of those myself. Maybe when the boys are at school, I can manage to just do something for me--like scrap! :)

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
