Sick Girl

My poor girl is so miserable and pitiful! She's running a fever, coughing non-stop, and has a nasty runny nose. I did call and talk to the nurse, and they said it's too early to know if it's a respiratory infection or just a bad cold so I'm not taking her in to see the doctor yet, but I have a feeling a doctor's visit is going to be in our weekend plans. I feel horrible for her. She only lays on my shoulder or cries - sometimes both. That's pretty much how last night and today have gone. She's down for a much-needed nap now.

We're supposed to have friends over for dinner tomorrow night. Hopefully, we'll still be able to see them! Other than that, the weekend is full of domestic fun such as cleaning out the refrigerator, dusting, and vacuuming.

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
