Officially Homeless

We signed a contract yesterday so we are on our way to being officially homeless! Our closing date/moving date is set for February 28 so we have very little time to figure out where we're going temporarily! We're looking at a rental house tomorrow night and are really hoping they'll allow us a short 3-month lease. If not, then it's into the in-law's house we go! Camden, of course, is quite excited about the prospect of living with Gram and Gramps. I think we may spend the weekend packing!

I'm headed to the doctor tomorrow for my required "adoption" physical. Of course, it's been a good 18 months since I've had one so I'm due anyway. Korea has those fun weight restrictions, and I'm on the edge so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed when I step onto the scales. I'll be headed to Coldstone Creamery or somewhere else fun when I finish (just kidding!).

Just a few fun facts. My sister and brother-in-law sat in front of Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood in church on Sunday, and my little sister is leaving for a cruise in the Bahamas with Tim McGraw on Sunday. Apparently, we're serious about country music in our family!

I so wish I had a layout to show you (and I've actually got 3 almost done that are really fun), but no such luck. Check back tomorrow!

Congrats on signing the contract! I'm sure you're relieved to have that part of the process completed! I hope all goes well in the moving experience. Living with the in-laws for a while isn't too bad (and I speak from experience).

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
