Our homestudy visit went well yesterday. All three hours of it! I don't think Camden made any kind of good impression, but I'm sure the case worker realizes 3 year olds don't always behave the way you want them to. He was hyper when she arrived. We put him down for a nap, and he did not like that! When he woke up, he refused to talk to her. Oh, well! I had definitely forgotten how much paperwork was involved, but I think we've got it under control. Our next visit is for next Monday so we've only got a week to finish up a ton of paperwork!

We spent a couple of hours this morning packing up bookshelves, etc. I'm hoping that by doing a little here and there it will make a difference later on! Someone is coming to look at the house this afternoon so I think we're headed out to shop a bit.

I finished up a layout I've been working on for a couple of days. I think it turned out really cute (if I do say so myself!).

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Not a week goes by that they don't pull out blog books from previous years and pore over the pictures and words. Rory giggles and retells the stories; Camden quietly takes in the tougher subjects. Here's the truth. I have less to share because life is both busy and unexciting at the same time. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
