Happy New Year!

I hope everyone has thoroughly enjoyed themselves this holiday season! We had a wonderful, quiet Christmas weekend, enjoyed a great day of shopping the day after Christmas and then headed to my parent's house in Illinois. We spent almost a week there with my youngest sister and her new husband and my sister, brother-in-law, and twin nephews. We had lots of fun, food, and laughter. (And played alot of Nertz!)

We made the 9-hour drive back home yesterday and our holiday ended abruptly! Someone had broken into our house while we were gone. The back door was destroyed and our bedroom trashed. We are very grateful that they only took 3 of Brian's guns and some hunting accessories. They didn't touch my wedding ring, Brian's paychecks that we had left out (how stupid are we?!), the computer, TV, etc. It's definitely made us think that it might be time to move, though. We've been tossing the idea around for quite a while now, but since we've just started the adoption process again, and you can't move while you're in process, we had just decided to stick it out. Now we're not so sure what to do. Decisions, decisions!

I head back to work tomorrow, and I'm actually kinda looking forward to getting back in a routine. I'm sure I'll be over that quickly!

I'll leave you with one of my favorite pictures from the week. This was overexposed, but I'm hoping that it will still be workable!

Oh my goodness... what a horrible thing to return home too! I can't even imagine. Praying that all the details work out smoothly and whatever your decision about moving... that you will just feel God's peace and presence. I'm a bit jealous that you are in the midst of this process... I would just love to adopt but finances haven't worked out yet. I look forward to reading about it. How fun to meet another YP's wife who blogs! Have a wonderful day!

Nice to find your blog!! Wow-how sad that someone broke into your house! I am glad it's not as bad as it could have been given the checks and all! Your pictures and layouts are adorable!! I look forward to visiting your blog more often :)
