Wednesday

Brian had 4th grade graduation last night so I was alone with the kids all day and night. I resorted to "movie night" and pulled out Kung Fu Panda and made popcorn. I also managed to lock myself out of the house for the second time in about 2 months. Thank goodness Brian had made extra keys after I did this the first time, and I had a spare hidden outside.

This morning I'm dropping Camden off at school for 3 hours of kindergarten testing (does this seem like alot?). Rory and I are going to hit the grocery stores while he's at school. Unfortunately, Rory has been up since 6:00 this morning, and I'm thinking that her mood will not be all that great after an early morning and a several hours worth of errands.

Yes, the 3 hrs of testing sounds very long to me. Can't imagine how long it will seem to the kids. Have a great day!!

Is he getting excited about going back to school? I know Ethan really enjoyed Kinder this year!

and OMG that toe nail layout is adorable!!!! Love that you took that photo and I might have to try to do something similar!

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
