Bad Teeth

So Camden's first dentist appointment did not go quite as planned! He was SO well behaved and did a great job, but at age FIVE he has two rotting teeth that need to be crowned. And this is from a child who doesn't drink juice, brushes twice a day, and has a minimum of sugar (especially compared to most children I know). In fact, the first thing they asked after seeing his teeth was how much juice does he drink, but we've never been juice drinkers (except at Grandma's house). The next step is to see the pediatric dentist and see how much this is going to cost us!

Poor Rory had a horrible afternoon/evening after missing her nap and I ended up putting her to bed at 6:15. We try pretty hard not to miss naptime around here, but she's usually not quite this bad! Unfortunately, she woke up by 6:15 this morning and her mood doesn't seem to be much improved.

Just to let you know that you are not the only one with a 5 year old who has bad teeth! Luke is the same way. They pulled one a few months ago. Then they decided to go ahead and put caps on all his molars since he is so prone to cavaties. So we had 7 silver caps and a spacer done last week. It was an interesting day!
