Tangles

Today was Rory's date day, and despite all the activities I mentioned to her, she really wanted to see Tangles (a.k.a. Tangled). She was so funny as she giggled and danced her way through the movie. She kept saying, "I just wuv this movie. It's hiwawious" (hilarious). Considering she mentioned it about every 10 minutes throughout the day, I'm pretty sure the prospect of skipping naptime was almost as exciting as the date.

I decided to have Camden take a quick picture of us before we left instead of taking the camera. This is what happens when a 7 year old is in charge of the pictures.

We've done this "date" thing with the kids a couple of times now since Rory has been home, and I'm always surprised by how much they adore the alone time with us. I highly recommend it!

We love our dates with the kids! And the older they get the more important it is! I love those pics, Kaden is becoming quite the photogragher after me making him do it for us all the time!

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
