Before Rory's dentist appointment yesterday, I let her have a pretty hefty snack not only because I knew we'd be finishing up well past her lunchtime, but also because she's typically numb and can't eat for a couple of hours. The first thing she asked me when we left the dentist office, "Mama, is my mouth dumb?" :)

They didn't have to "dumb" her mouth yesterday so we stopped and ate lunch at Chick-Fil-A "just the two of us." There also might have been ice cream involved.

Rory's been unusually cantankerous this week. She's been ugly to Camden, rebellious with me, and there have been a whole lot of tears in this household over the past few days. Not sure if her cold/cough/ears are bothering her more than I know or if she's just going through a typical 4-year old phase, but I'd like it to pass. Now.

With my handy, dandy, super fast computer, I've found time to scrap again this week. Seriously, you have no idea how great it is to upload 100 pictures into Lightroom and have it take 30 seconds as opposed to an hour. Or to be able to save a scrapbook page instantly instead of waiting 10 minutes for it to process. It's fantastic!

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
