Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

We've had a high of 20 with lots of wind chill the last several days, but the kids begged so hard to play outside. Even 20 minutes was enough to satisfy their need to play in the snow, but not so long that they were miserable with cold.

I've managed to lose Rory's warm hat from last year and the new one I ordered hasn't arrived yet, so she borrowed Camden's skull cap (and thought she was big stuff).

Pausing for the obligatory picture. Love those fake smiles.

Camden pulling Rory in the sled. He looks like he's working hard!

Now Rory's turn to pull. Believe me, she didn't get far.

In fact, she never moved him from this spot.

We moved to the deck where the snow had drifted and they had more to play with.

I realize it's out of focus, but look at how much fun she's having!

I totally messed this picture up with my settings, but if you could zoom in on it like I can, you'd see the looks of pure joy on their faces.

Notice how Rory is covered in snow; Camden not so much. The hazards of having a big brother.

P.S. Brian is now on Snow Day #3 for TWO inches of snow. Sometimes life as a teacher in a southern state is totally worth it.

What fun!! I'm sure my kids will be playing in the snow at recess today. At least the wind has calmed down enough to go outside! Enjoy your snow days!! : )
