The Grown-Ups

When we got home from West Virginia several weeks ago and I uploaded the 100's of pictures I'd taken and realized that there were no photos of the grown-ups, I resolved to do a much better job of documenting all of us, not just the cute kiddos. Well, I can't say that I improved much during our Oklahoma trip, but here are two grown-up pictures anyway.

By the way, both of these were taken with my rented 85mm lens, and I just might have wanted to shed a few tears when I returned it. ;)

Okay, I am now rethinking ever just pulling my hair back in a pony tail, my hair looks completely short and scary, not pulled back!

btw, I would like a copy of that pic sometime! :)

Isn't that the way it always works? I never have any pics of Alex and I since I'm the one with the camera in hand... shesh.

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
