I think we had a breakthrough yesterday with Camden and Rory. They played together just so well. They built a little puppet stage and took turns (although I turned around and saw Rory standing on top of the puppet stage, which was kinda scary). They had "adventures" in the dark laundry room with the flash light. Camden had a big time, and Rory just followed right along.

Remember those questions I said Camden asks? Yesterday at lunch he asked me if rabbits have brains and how do you make Cheezits - all in one breath.

I'm grocery shopping with both kids this morning. Hopefully, I'll escape with my sanity.

One of the hazards of living in a small town is that your bank lobby doesn't open until 8:00 and then closes at 3:30. How ridiculous is that! I'm not sure how they expect anyone who works a job to be able to get business completed. We received our finalization paperwork from the lawyer last night and need to have several pieces notarized and also get copies from our safety deposit box so Brian is trying to leave work early today so we can get it done. We're still hoping to finalize in September.

I took these pictures of Rory last night, and I was only going to post one, but I couldn't choose.

I wouldnt have been able to just pick one either! She is so sweet! And Im so glad they are connecting and playing well!!!

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
