A baby brother

Well, yesterday turned out to be fairly exciting, although not in the way you might wish! Rory started the day off by discovering the ice and water dispensers on the refrigerator and soaked two outfits. I've been waiting for her to find these, and am actually surprised it took her this long! She fell off the couch and banged her head; followed by a slip in the kitchen, and slammed her finger in the drawer (that she wasn't supposed to be in). Then she decided that swallowing a plastic marble would be a good idea (this was in retaliation to my playing a game with Camden). Did I mention this all happened before 9:00 a.m.?

Ever since shortly after Rory came home, Camden has been wishing for a baby brother. Earlier this week he told me that his daddy said when he gets $20 in his wallet, he could start thinking about a baby brother. Yesterday, he drew a picture of our family on the sidewalk and included an extra person "because I'm going to have a baby brother." Last night, he prayed for a baby brother "cause I really want one."

Oh Melisaa! A friend of mine's son prayed for a baby brother (he had a little sister too LOL) and they received a sibling call!!! Camden might be on to something.... :)

Ummm.... Kensi prayed for two years for a little sister because she "didn't want any more stinky brothers." She finally got her wish!! These little people apparently have direct lines to God's baby department so BEWARE!!!!

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
