Soccer

Saturday's soccer game was a success. Not a win (because they lost 8 to 1!), but a success because Camden had a good time, and he played so well! Apparently he needed another year of maturity on him to "get" the game of soccer because it clearly all clicked in his head Saturday. He was aggressive, played great defense, and ran hard the entire game. He only sat out about 2 minutes out of the 40 minute game. And this is without any instruction. The coach is so frustrating! He's a very nice guy, but doesn't even try to give the kids instruction. In fact, he had his little ear phone on and was on the phone during the game. He didn't tell them how to play, who to kick it to, etc. And they haven't practiced kick-offs, side kicks, or even discussed the rules etc. during practice. But we were so proud of Camden for listening and trying so hard (if you read the blog last year, you'll remember that trying hard wasn't really in Camden's repertoire last season!).

The rest of our weekend was pretty basic. Brian has caught yet another cold (I think his third after only 6 weeks of school).

Amanda is coming over to scrap this morning so I need to run. Camden and her son are in Mother's Day Out together so we'll just have the "babies" with us and hopefully can get alot done!

just a cute picture of Rory from Saturday
