Thankful Thursday

Thankful for the dramatic improvement we've seen in Camden over the 6-8 weeks. He is doing so much better in the self-control department and has been a joy to be around. We are very proud of him!

He's also pretty darn funny.

Exhibit A: An animal got into our trash and when Camden saw the yard he exclaimed, "look at all this litterage!"

Exhibit B: Last night on American Idol when William Hung joined the Pants on the Ground guy, Camden said, "I can't take all this coolness. His hat is the best!" And he was completely serious. Side note: we decided several years ago not to let him watch the audition portion of American Idol because I didn't want him learning how to make fun of people. Apparently, that strategy is working out okay. :)


Thankful for her mischievous smile, infectious giggle, and the twinkle in her eye. She makes life so much fun! I'm also very thankful to hear, "Mama, I willy, willy love you." more times in a day than I can count.

And there's no picture to illustrate this one, but VERY grateful Brian only has one more day of school until August!

Adorable kiddos. And I love that you don't let them watch the audition scenes of AI. We try very hard to keep sarcasm and meanness out of Olive's life. Go, mama!

Beautiful pictures and hooray for Brian being out of school, almost. I am really going to miss the summers with Barry this year.

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
