In a Slump

I'm in a slump today; a bad mood is just hovering around me despite my attempts to shake it off. Sometimes life just gets in the way and things don't go as planned. It's silly, I know, but there are several things going on that are annoying and one major disappointment this week.

This boy, however, is not in a slump. Look at that face - he thinks wearing these glasses and the hat Grandpa and Grandma bought him makes him so cool. He's adorable, if I do say so myself!

You don't know how glad I am to read about your slump. I thought for sure it was just me. I am a planner and when things don't go as planned I get extremely grumpy. I am not even remotely pleasant to be around. I hope you can shake it off soon!

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
