Love. In the form of ice cream.

I am never ceased to be amazed at the way God shows His love for me. Yesterday it came in the form of Jeni's ice cream delivered to my door from the fabulous Renee T. And not just ice cream, but in the favorite flavors I mentioned last summer. I cannot say thank you enough, Renee T.!

I just may have to frame this print to hang in the kitchen. Who wouldn't want to see this cheerful picture every day!

Camden and his cousin Logan had a sleepover earlier this week. It was the best 24 hours of Camden's summer so far. They stayed up late, slept in late, played the Wii to their heart's content, and explored the outdoors.

More fun cousin times to come. Logan and his sister Ashton are coming over to spend the afternoon with us at our first Cumberland River beach experience, and then I'm making ice cream sundae's and hamburgers for supper. Good summer days.

Oh now, that is a treat!! People really know how to brighten our days- ice cream would do it for me! Love the cousin shots- there is nothing like the cousin friendship that lasts all those years... Hope Camden gets a lot more of those days!

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. (the adult who spent a week at camp might have been tired too) Camden had the camera and took these pictures of me and Becky, Liz, and mom. Lewis/Hale/Derby/Lemons family - you're all caught up!

7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
