Leap Year

Image
Leap Year is kind of a big deal for us because 4 years ago today, we became a family of 4 in Seoul, Korea. If you're a newbie and haven't seen the videos or read the blog posts and would like to, here's a list: meeting Shin Sarang a family for good welcome home at the airport blog post 1 in Korea blog post 2 in Korea blog post 3 in Korea (this is the one where we meet Rory) blog post 4 in Korea blog post 5 in Korea blog post 6 in Korea blog post 7 in Korea blog post 8 in Korea (she's all ours in this one) blog post 9 in Korea Best week of our lives 4 years ago in Seoul. The day kind of snuck up on me and I didn't do an actual photo shoot, but I did snap these of Rory being silly in the bathtub yesterday, and they pretty much describe her personality in pictures.' Favorite color: gold Favorite food: rice and bulgogi Favorite movie: Princess and the Frog and Tangles (a.k.a. Tangled) Favorite thin

Camden

Image
I always feel as if the balance is tipped in Rory's favor when it comes to the number of pictures I take, so here are a few of Camden from yesterday. This boy sure loves this cat. If he's not digging in the dirt or playing football on the trampoline with Rory, then he's probably camped out either on the front steps or on the trampoline cuddling with Frenchie. The two of them spend a whole lot of time on this trampoline although from the looks of it, they're on the wrong side of the net. No idea exactly what he was doing here, but fairly certain it had to do with The Force. This sweet look right here is one I'm going to miss cause I see it less and less the older and more ornery he gets. ;)

Tuesday's Tidbits

Image
There was an "issue" (Camden and Rory's word, not mine) this morning with a spider in Rory's bed. She came running and say, "Mama, can I tell you the tale of my spider issue?" Later as Camden was telling me about it, I was trying to clarify that it was actually in her bed, and Camden replied, "Yeah. In her bed. See? Issue!!" Oh, they crack me up. Last night we had the privilege of attending a church planting event with other missionaries from our denomination. It was so good to spend time with Randall and Colette (our Texas partners - and you might as well learn their names because I'll be referring to them alot) as well as Kellie , who happens to be not only an old friend from college and church camp, but is in the processing of adopting a sweet boy from Korea. She also is a MARVELOUS photographer. She took the kids pictures several years ago - click here . One of these days I'm going to snap her again to take family pics! I made

Monday

Image
Just a few pictures and Scripture this morning. First up: February 23 and we're already having blooms on the trees because of our strange Tennessee weather. I'd almost believe in global warming except there are other parts of the U.S. having their worst winters ever. ;) Addison with Rory's baby last night for a little comparison on size. Although I have to say that Addison's legs are chunking up nicely. :) And, finally, yesterday was our last day at our church after spending the last 10 consecutive years there as well as 4 other years while we were in college. This is the kids with the church in the background - it's been our view for the last 5 years as we've lived across the street from the church. For whatever reason this morning, I didn't read Jesus Calling or pull out my Beth Moore study. Instead, I turned to the (in)Courage blog on my iPad. As I read the entry entitled God's Love Notes , I immediately knew why I felt compelle

2012 Project 365

Image
While I may be keeping up with Project 365, I have to say that it's February 25, and I'm already behind in my goal of scrapping the year as I go. Maybe one of these days I can lock the kids in their rooms for the day and have a scrapping marathon.  So kidding.  Mostly.

Park Pictures

I finally got around to looking at some of the pictures I took during our play date with Joy, Ellis, and Sumner last week. It's hard to look at these pictures and not smile. I can't speak for Joy's kids, but Rory had a blast. She's such a social creature, and we seem to rarely have the opportunity to play. Yes, there are a whole lot of them. Yesterday I had the privilege of being on The Digi Show so if you've ever wanted to hear my voice, click here . The title of the episode is Everybody Has Stuff, and we discuss scrapping and documenting the hard times in your life. It was lots of fun to chat with Steph, Katie, and Peppermint although I have lots of anxiety about people hearing my voice - have you noticed that no one ever sounds the way you think they should? ;) And after I recorded The Digi Show, I determined that I wasn't going to bed last
