One More Day

We had a wonderful weekend (the last one before real life begins again) starting with date night Friday night. I know - two date nights in less than a month is nothing short of a miracle! Brian and I hit up Olive Garden for supper using a Christmas gift card, then made a trip to Borders where Brian apparently got tired of hearing me complain about not knowing what to do with my D90 and bought me Nikon D90 for Dummies. We then made a quick trip to Gap and found some great deals. In fact, we purchased one pair of jeans, 1 pair of cords, 1 sweater, and a hat for Brian plus 2 pair of cords and a shirt for Camden plus a pair of shoes for Rory for $63!

After shopping, we went to see Avatar in 3D, and it was amazing. I loved it! It was one of those movies that stays with you and you almost believe it's real. Well, except for the fact that it's not 2154 and there are no blue people or robots.

Saturday we took the kids to see Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day at the Nashville Children's Theater, and it was SO much fun. The kids really liked it and it was so fun to see them giggle at the antics on stage. Going to the NCT has become a bit of a holiday tradition - we've gone for the last 3 years, but this was Rory's first time. I am fairly certain I laughed just as much as the kids if not more.

Camden started back to school today, but Brian has one more day off and we're running errands together plus trying to get in one more day of relaxation. Rory has gymnastics tonight after 2 weeks off and she is quite excited about it.

I have been a scrapping demon the last week, but I can't share most of the pages with you yet because the designs haven't been released. I've got a new CT gig that I'm VERY excited about - The Daily Digi. I'm sure if you're a scrapper, you're already familiar with the concept and site, but if not, you should definitely check it out. My pages will be showing up there on a regular basis and I couldn't be more excited.

Your theatre tradition sounds like a wonderful one!
And I'm so jealous of your Gap mega-steals!!!
I hope, when the time comes, Bethany and I can be half the parents you and Brian are. Hope you enjoy your last day of Christmas vacation!
