Spring Break Day 3

Today was a very wet spring day! Water and rain are everywhere. I think that playing outside is out of the question for several days since I'm not sure we have any sunny days in our forecast for quite a while.

We dropped Camden off at Gram and Gramp's house this morning at 9:30, and we headed to Nashville for doctor's appointments. I had my regular 6 month appointment with the breast specialist (all clear) and Rory had to get blood drawn at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital (just regular tests). She did really well right up until the point that the phlebotomist actually touched her! She screamed and screamed, but the lady did such a good job and found a vein the first time, and was very quick. Rory calmed down quickly and has been happy the rest of the day, which surprised me a bit!

I forgot this scary Camden story. Monday afternoon we were playing outside, and Camden found a worm. He thought it was the best thing to have a "worm friend" (this is my boy who back in the good old days never wanted to touch bugs). I looked up just in time to see him put the worm in his mouth! I screamed in horror and he dropped it. I'm honestly not really sure what he was thinking.

And speaking of Camden, the accident count is up to FIVE within less than 3 days. I am not a happy camper. My mom thinks we need to spend some extra one-on-one time with him. I'm sure that's good advice and we're going to try. It is very frustrating, though. I would expect this if he were three, but he's almost five!

Worms are full of nutrients! Look how happy birds are after they eat them:) Glad you got good report and Rory's lab adventure went well. Hang in there!

I'm just now catching up with all of the news. I'm thrilled for you, she seems like a sweet little girl, and that the adjustment period is moving along. I'm sure it doesn't seem like it is going very quickly, but reading all of the past entries here on your blog does show progress. Hang in there and before you know it everyone will be settled and secure.
Too funny about the work incident. At least you can say he isn't afraid of them any more! LOL
Congrats again, Melissa!
