Lightroom

We've finally had some rain the last couple of days!! Not enough I'm sure, but several hard downpours. It's so funny, but after 2-3 months with no rain, having an overcast day feels a little weird!

My newest obsession is Adobe Lightroom. It's a wonderful program that allows you to edit pictures and gives you a ton more options than my Photoshop Elements. And, can I just say it is very expensive to take good pictures. First you've got your SLR camera. Then you add in the lens (which are still on my wish list). Add in photo editing software, maybe some backdrops (also on my wishlist), and the list goes on and on! Here are a few pictures that I've edited recently. Some of them had issues to begin with, and some of them were pretty good pictures that I just added cool effects to.

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
