It's Monday

Wow! Our weekend flew by. Camden had a blast at the football game Friday night. Saturday, we shopped for cleats for him. Sunday was church, and I had to work for several hours during the afternoon/evening, and now it's Monday morning and another week begins!

We're all swamped this week. Brian is teaching two classes a day, so that means lots of preparation every night; he's got a college class that begins this Tuesday evening. Then he has a seminar to attend Friday night and all day Saturday (makes for a fun weekend, doesn't it). Camden starts soccer practice this week, so he'll be gone Monday and Friday night. I'm working registration today and tomorrow, which makes for very long days! This is the first official week of school so it will be quite busy! Maybe I shouldn't have written all this out - it's making me tired before we even begin!

Here are 3 pages I finished up over the weekend. I didn't realize it, but 2 out of the 3 are with Grandpa! I'm trying to get pictures scrapped from Camden's trip to Illinois in April.

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Not a week goes by that they don't pull out blog books from previous years and pore over the pictures and words. Rory giggles and retells the stories; Camden quietly takes in the tougher subjects. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
