Our Weekend

Hope you all enjoyed a little piece of Camden in yesterday’s post! He loves to sing these days! Now that Brian has figured out the YouTube thing, I’m sure we’ll be posting more of these.

Our weekend was good. Saturday we made a shopping trip looking for a birthday present for Camden. I think he tried out every bike in our county! Unfortunately, we need the 14 inch size, and they’re hard to find! I think he might end up with a Go, Diego, Go bike, which isn’t my favorite, but it’s the only 14 inch we can find! Brian and Camden spent several hours washing the cars on Saturday afternoon. Well, Camden spent several hours playing in the water and Brian spent several hours watching him pretend to wash the cars!

Sunday turned out to be a really good day. One of my very good friends showed up at church unexpectedly, and it was so good to see her and her kids. They moved far, far away a couple of years ago, and I had not seen her since. She came over for lunch, and we have a very nice couple of hours together!

Work has been C.R.A.Z.Y.! After today, things should be slowing down a bit. I actually thrive on the busy part, but what is frustrating is trying to make deadlines when you’re relying on other people to get their part done, and it just doesn’t happen!

Well, my lunch hour is over so my blog post must be finished!

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
