Christmas Family Photo 2012

My family always moans and groans a bit when I say we have to take a group photo, but I know one day we'll look back and be glad we did. This year we decided to take advantage of a corn pudding that refused to finish baking and took our picture while we waited. (My usual habit is to wait until we're ready to eat and then drive everyone nuts while I snap a shot.) Every time we set up a family photo, I always laugh at the test shots and think that I should totally do a "build a family photo" post, but never do.

Well, this is your lucky day. ;)

Bahahaha! Thanks for the documentation of "The Photo"! I laughed out loud and tried to explain to my husband how funny it was. He didn't get it! Happy New Year to you and your family!

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
