Routine

Well, after 3 out of town trips in the last 4 weeks, I think we're home to stay! We headed to southern Illinois this weekend to see my family, and had a good time even it was only for 24 hours. We got to spend time with my parents, two sisters, two brother-in-laws, and two baby boys! They're so adorable! They're going through a bit of an attachment phase, so they weren't too happy with any of us unless Micah and Becky were around, but that's all right. Chocolate seemed to help that situation a bit!

I stopped by Starbucks for my regular Monday morning tradition and decided to try something new: a caramel macchiato. It's quite bland! That's what I get for trying something new!

Camden came home from church yesterday and was so proud to tell us that he learned in Sunday School that God made Adam from dirt and Eve from ribbons. So funny!

Here are a few pictures from the weekend. As I look at them, there are many more of Xavier than William. We love William, too. He's just harder to tear away from his mama! Xavier is easy to bribe with chocolate!

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
