Frustrated

I talked to our caseworker yesterday, and there's still no progress on our homestudy. She also let me know she'd be out of the office the rest of the week and on vacation next week so we're looking at another 2 weeks at least. She also told us about an addition $450 fee they've decided to start charging. Brian decided to put a call in to her supervisor to very politely voice our frustration over these delays and also to protest the extra fees. We signed a contract in December based on the current fees. It just doesn't seem like they can add fees mid-process. I am trying not to be very upset about all this, but it's hard!

The good news about this week is that I worked Tuesday and today, but am off the rest of the week. I'm looking forward to a little "me" time tomorrow. I'm sending Camden to daycare and heading off to maybe do a little shopping and then for a long over-due haircut!

I got a bit of scrapping done yesterday, and the first one is even pink (I can't wait to start regularly scrapping in pink!).

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
