Routine

After being out of routine for 2 weeks and out of town for 10 days, the goal of this week is definitely all about routine. It should be a slow week as far as extra activities, which is good because the house is trashed, laundry has piled up, I have 3.5 photo sessions to edit, bills to pay, groceries to buy, unpacking to do, and the list goes on. I'm going to start at the top of the list and move from there. And because it's a rainy, dreary day outside, Rory and I just might stay in our p.j.'s all day as we start to work through the list. And I'm definitely having an extra cup of coffee.

And for all of you waiting with bated breath to see if my camera is okay, it is. :) Although I seriously felt like I was going to be sick as I pulled it out of the box and realized that UPS had not even packaged it with bubble wrap. It appears to have no effects from it's overnight camping trip and subsequent trip on a UPS truck.

WHEW!!! I was waiting with bated breath (not joking) so I'm *very* relieved to hear that. You know I was nervous since I didn't even make any "you should buy the D7000 jokes"!

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
