OMG!!! I *love* them!! I'm so happy cause I totally knew he would be beyond cute, but he's cuter than I could have even imagined. (Is it wrong that I want to take S to try on glasses now?!)

they look fabulous on him! Doesn't it completely change their "look".
For Ethan the sports goggles have been so worth the $100+ they cost (he almost wears them more than the other two pairs he has) and the pair Ethan has that looks a lot like Camdens' pair we had them do the transitional lens so they turn into sunglasses. Very helpful! Good Luck and yes VERY ADORABLE!!!!

Football in the Park

There are an embarrassing number of pictures in this post. It was one of those early fall afternoons that was just perfection. I had a hard time putting the camera down so that I could actually participate in the activity. It just felt like I was missing out on trying to capture the feeling of that hour in the park. If you can believe it, family, I actually played football. :) Side note: I have alot more pictures of Rory than Camden mostly because he moved too fast for me to capture very well. Most of his pics are blurry. Caught it even with his eyes closed. Watching barges and speed boats go by.

R.I.P. Cuddles

We had a tragedy at our house last night. Cuddles ran into the street and was run over. Now while I may not have formed any sort of lasting connection to the kittens, Camden and Rory most certainly have. Camden was just distraught, and it was pitiful to have him crumble into my arms and sob and sob and then finally try to pull it together. Rory kinda pretended to be sad, but we quickly learned she just didn't understand what had happened. When it dawned on her that Cuddles was actually dead, she was inconsolable. I'm talking sobs that wracked her body so hard she couldn't breathe. It was honestly one of the hardest parenting moments we've had. Our kids are lucky enough that this is the first real grief they've suffered, but there was nothing we could do to make them feel better. Camden said, "I just wish you could make her undead." and then proceeded to tell us he was going to need to take a box of kleenex to bed with him because of all the tears (which is...

A Talker

I'm sure I've mentioned before that Rory is a talker. She talks, talks, and then talks some more. It doesn't even have to be a conversation (although she's pretty fond of those too). As long as she has a listening ear, she rambles from story to story and doesn't stop until you stop her. Believe me, I've tried before to let it go on until she did the stopping. Doesn't happen. So this morning we spent about 30 minutes folding laundry (she's in charge of washcloths and small towels), and she talked the entire time. I finally decided to grab the camera. See what I mean? She's a talker.
