What We've been Up To
Somehow 10 or 11 days have passed since I blogged, and I'm now so overwhelmed by the sheer number of pictures I have to upload and things that have happened I don't even know where to start. Here's a short recap.
Kids finished school.
Brian finished school.
We planted a garden.
We put up the trampoline.
(You know "we" only means Brian, right?)
I went to the doctor (he thinks I have ulcers).
I scraped the side of our new van on a concrete wall in the hospital parking garage.
We kept Addison overnight.

Brian's parents and brother moved away.
Micah, Becky, William, and Xavier spent 5 days with us.
We went to Mammoth Cave and took a tour that involved 440 stairs. My butt is only just now recovering.
Watched 10 episodes of Flip or Flop (we were all kind of obsessed with the cheesiness and how bad we were at estimating if the house would sell or not).
While the adults vegged out with HGTV, the kids vegged out hyped up on hours of Wii time (since it rained for 2 days straight).
Brian got a weird eye infection. Bad enough that we finally made him to see a doctor.
Drank ALOT of coffee.

Brian and I celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary. I use the term celebrate lightly because we didn't even remember it for the first time ever. In our defense, there was quite a bit going on.
Addison started giving real kisses. You should have heard the screams of encouragement from all the crazy cousins, aunts, and uncles.
I stopped sleeping. Like 7 days running and that's with Ambien and an occasional Xanax taken at bedtime to help. Not helping.
The 5 days with Becky and her family went by in a flash. They left yesterday.
Camden and Brian also left yesterday for camp.
I don't know who has it worse: Brian who has to be at camp all week sleeping in a tiny cabin with five 8-11 years olds or me who needs to fill 24 hours a day with entertainment for Rory.
I'm currently listening to Rory empty out the dishwasher and fill it up for the first time. She's so small that she needs a stepstool to reach anything so Camden generally is on dishwasher duty. But it makes her so happy to help that I thought we could knock out a solid 40 minutes of our morning just with the dishwasher. Plus Camden isn't around to tell her how wrong she's doing it.
And just one picture. I took it last Wednesday and meant to post it for my mom since I received texts and Facebook messages wondering where all the pics, videos, and blog posts were.
So here it is. A mere 5 days late.
Look at those wide-eyed-faces. Probably before 7:00 a.m. It's probably a good thing I didn't take a picture of the adult's not-so-wide-eyed faces.

Um, minus the no sleeping thing and ulcers? Oy...
