So my liquid diet yesterday was just about as fun as it sounded. Turns out that even if you haven't eaten for 7 days, pureed chicken broth, strained oatmeal, and nasty looking yellow pudding surprisingly enough isn't appetizing. :) I did have some apple juice, a little of the chicken broth and a popcycle yesterday and totally paid for it, but it's progress. This morning I actually have a decaf Starbucks mocha. It's wonderful to put something "normal" in my mouth, even though I'm probably only going to manage about 1/4 of this cup.
My really good news for the day is that I get to go home tomorrow morning. When I called to tell Rory, she was so excited and then said, "Wait a minute. There's a problem with this. I thought you were coming home Monday." Too funny. My dad gets into town today so my mom and dad are bringing the kids up to visit when Camden gets out of school, and I am really looking forward to the visit. We haven't seen the kids since Sunday.
Several friends stopped by yesterday, and it was so nice to answer the door and see the surprise on their faces that I was up and about. I'm sure they were almost as happy to not see me in hospital gowns as I was to be out of them. :)
That's about it for today. Not much excitement in Room 601, but that's a good thing.

Have a great time with Camden and Rory today. Rory's comment made me laugh. Too cute!
I hope the Starbucks treats you well, and that you have a good day. Take care.

And I'm in tears over the fact that you get to go home soon. I'm sure that will be soooo wonderful.
Be sure to keep me posted on when you can eat cupcakes. ;)

Sending prayers as you continue your recovery from surgery.

I am one of the gals that you posted about earlier: a friend from digiland. A friend even though we have never met face-to-face. It is a strange and wonderful thing I think.
I am sending you lots of love and hugs and prayers. I know you have a wonderful support system and I want to be a part of it, even from far away. I hope you have a swift recovery and I will look for your updates.
