Never Too Late to Carve Pumpkins

We were out of town for 10 days during the middle of October and when we got back, Brian's schedule was crazy, we had a few illnesses passed throughout the house, and somehow I never got around to buying pumpkins. Now, I don't really care about pumpkins and we all know I'm not Miss Krafty Mama, but Camden always pays attention to those houses that are decorated for each holiday and he really, really wanted pumpkins. About a week after Halloween, I saw pumpkins for .50 at Wal-Mart and so we picked up a few. Then it took several more days before we actually carved them, but the kids had a blast when we finally got around to it.

He seriously hates getting his hands dirty. We had a big roll of paper towels ready at all times.

Note to self: Camden and Rory really like carving pumpkins and I need to make sure we do a more holiday activities like this.

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
