The weekend is over!

And what a nice weekend it was. We had our snow day on Friday and pretty much just stayed in, ordered pizza, and got a movie (Barnyard) for Camden to watch. It was just a good family day. Same with Saturday. We did do a bit of shopping and ran some errands, but mostly just a nice quiet day. Sunday was full of church, a soup luncheon after church, more church, and then the Super Bowl. My brother-in-law and sister and another friend came over for the afternoon and evening, and we had a nice time. I'm not a big football fan so 4 hours of football was maybe a tad too much for me, but it wasn't bad, and I got some good laughs out of the commercials.

I used to be able to crank out 1-2 layouts a night, but that just isn't happening lately! Here is the one lonely layout I did over the weekend. These pictures are from November 2004, so Camden was little. The pics aren't the best quality, but I love that cute grin he has here, and while I was working on this page, Camden came over and asked to sit on my lap and said, "that's a GOOD picture, mommy" so I'm happy he liked it!

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Not a week goes by that they don't pull out blog books from previous years and pore over the pictures and words. Rory giggles and retells the stories; Camden quietly takes in the tougher subjects. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
