Good Intentions

When I went to bed last night, I had every intention of getting up and working out this morning. However, when the alarm went off at 4:55 a.m., I could not do it! Brian and I both had promised we would do it, but it just didn't happen. This scenario has repeated itself many times throughout our marriage. I think I'm going to just throw in the towel!

So, do you think 3 Valentine's Day shirts for a 3 year old are too many? I just couldn't help myself. I bought a cute Gap one, then found some cute Wal-mart shirts - and they were on clearance for $3 last night! I can't resist a sale.

I'm headed to the dentist on my lunch hour for my regular 6 month cleaning. Sounds exciting. I've got a wedding shower to attend after work, then it's home to Camden for American Idol night.

Here's one layout I managed to finish up last night. Camden and this little girl started daycare at the same time (at 12 months old). She was adopted from China, Camden from Korea - they were both home about the same time. They have had a bond from the beginning. Now they're 3.5 and Camden will be switching schools when we leave. I'm so sad for him. Every time we talk about his new school, he says, "but Ashley will be there, right?" Hopefully, it won't be too traumatic!

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Not a week goes by that they don't pull out blog books from previous years and pore over the pictures and words. Rory giggles and retells the stories; Camden quietly takes in the tougher subjects. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
