After my big news yesterday, we all felt like celebrating, but decided to hold off until tonight. Although along with those flowers, I did purchase two triple chocolate cupcakes from Whole Foods for us to split. And they were D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S.

But tonight we're planning to eat at Bucca di Beppo's (we haven't been there in years, and I've really been wanting to go) and then we have tickets to see The Addams Family at TPAC thanks to a couple of friends (hi, Jenne and Kari!). The kids are so excited although Camden is mostly excited at the prospect of staying up late since it doesn't start until 8:00 and their bedtime is 7:30. Rory is thrilled because she thinks she's really arrived to be going to an adult theater. :)

Until we leave, though, my plans are to try to take it easy and let this scar tissue settle down a bit. I'm also working on a Project 365/Project Life post that will be ready soon as well as tackling the enormous job of copying/pasting my 2011 blog into my 2011 Project 365 book. And, yes, it is pure torture because I am apparently quite chatty. It's also been a strange experience to re-read through 2011 in light of the news I received yesterday. What a roller coaster!

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
