Weekend Recap

Brian officially finished up his school year Friday at 11:30, came home just in time to receive a letter from the county offering him a job for next year (he doesn't have tenure yet, so it's always a bit up in the air from year to year)! He got to start off his summer break by taking Camden to the dentist and learning that it's going to cost us a whopping $900 to get Camden's teeth fixed. Yikes!

Camden's team won their game Friday night (16-6), which is always nice. Camden played well and had two hits, plus a triple. And this was an actual triple because of how far he hit it - not just a triple because the kids kept overthrowing and couldn't catch up to him. :)

Saturday was date day, and Michael and Liz kept the kids for us while Brian and I went to P.F. Changs and saw Angels and Demons. It was a very nice couple of kid-free hours. Our 12 year anniversary was yesterday, and there was no celebrating to be done! It was a typical busy Sunday with Brian up at 4:00 a.m. getting ready for his duties Sunday morning and then he spent the afternoon ferrying children to camp.

I was in the nursery with Rory and Emma Sunday morning and night and am so happy to report that they actually PLAYED together! Lots of peek-a-boo, giggling, and kisses. This is the first time they've been happy with each other. My dream of two little Asian best friends is still alive. LOL

We had our first two real temper tantrums with Rory last week. She was so mad she was crying and shaking and stomping. Nice. Really, I'm surprised we've made it this long! She's also so dramatic these days every time she doesn't get her way. She sobs as if we've broken her heart if I don't let her take a toy away from Camden or tell her we're not going to brush our teeth for the 100th time (her new favorite past time).

Not too much on the agenda today unless you count the 7 loads of laundry I need to get done! Brian is off doing a little early morning fishing with his dad, and Camden has a game tonight. This is our last week of baseball, and while I'll miss seeing Camden play, it definitely takes up alot of nights and weekends!

Oh, what a great template! I haven't scrapped in a while, because I was getting frustrated trying to keep up with the challenges at SSD, so I stopped and figured I should spend some more time with the kids and off of the computer! But, I'm gonna jump back in and use your template! Thanks for sharing!
OOoooo - thanks for the template!! Excited to use it! :-)
