So Proud

The weather was absolutely perfect yesterday: upper 80's, sunny, slightly windy, and very low humidity. The kids (and adults) had a blast at the pool, and we were soooooo proud of Camden! He jumped into the pool, he used the diving board, he used the big water slide and had fun! This is the child we could barely get into the pool last year. Rory was pretty fearless as usual. She really loved the slide and went down it over and over and over again.

Camden also had his first swimming lessons yesterday, and it went really well. I'm glad we had gone to the pool first because everything he did at the pool they covered in his lesson so he had a little bit of experience.

Brian's parents are keeping the kids today while Brian and I have run a few errands and go out for lunch. I'm hoping to eat here!

Here are just a few pictures from yesterday. I clearly do not have the settings right for the bright sunny day because my colors are strange, but at least you get the general idea. :)

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. 7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
