Some pictures

Having Brian home for the summer is working out well this week! He kept the kids while I grocery shopped yesterday, and today he is keeping Camden, Rory, and their cousin Cheyenne while the girls go shopping!

Last night on our way from seeing Uncle Jon, Aunt Beckee, Cheyenne, and Sienna, Camden informed us, "Cheyenne is my favorite cousin. Logan and Ashton too. And William and Xavier cause they're rough with me." (they wrestle with him). Rory looked at him and said indignantly, "Logan and Ashton NOT here!"

Camden trying it without training wheels.It didn't end well.

We're in for a hot summer. Do you see the sweat on her face and her wet hair?
It was about 82 and she was just playing on the deck.

Rory couldn't wait to get her hands on Sienna!

I find that Malia sweats so much faster than my older 2.. is it an Asian thing?? I LOVE having my hubby home so that I can shop alone!!!

Aww that photo of Rory is so sweet and adorable! We haven't been having a summer at all... hovering in the 60's here.

Blogging feels awkward these days. Not blogging feels a bit like abandoning an old friend. In this season of life it doesn't feel necessary to jot down every cute quip (and that's only partially because they don't say nearly as many cute things). The kiddos (even that is strange - can I still call a 12 and 9 year old kiddos?) are more likely to say "don't put that on your blog!" Rory still likes the attention, but Camden is feeling the need for privacy. But they also still love to read my words. Cousins, part 3 (the adult version)

So I'm notoriously bad about including adults in the picture when we're all together, and this trip was no exception. Here are the very few that include adults. Becky is always my test subject before the cousin photo shoots. At the baseball game (which was incredibly hot/humid and started nearly an hour late). Kids were pretty wiped out after their naps following the return from camp. (the adult who spent a week at camp might have been tired too) Camden had the camera and took these pictures of me and Becky, Liz, and mom. Lewis/Hale/Derby/Lemons family - you're all caught up!

7/52: Pastel

This week's theme was pastel and there's not a whole lot of pastel in our house, much less with my black-eyed, black-haired Korean gal. However, she gave me about 10 minutes of cooperation in 10 degree weather and we attempted a pastel snow picture. The first one is my official pastel picture, but I included the other attempts because it was pretty darn fun. This is a new face I'm seeing often these days. By the way, she has 3 shirts underneath this dress, a pair of pajama pants and a pair of hot pink sweat pants. LOL
